Lumax Industries reports reduced emissions and waste, alongside shifts in job distribution
01-Aug-26   23:40 Hrs IST
Lumax Industries reported a decrease in greenhouse gas emissions and waste generation for the fiscal year 2025-26, alongside a notable shift in job distribution and changes in raw material sourcing. Scope 1 emissions fell to 319.03 metric tonnes of CO2 equivalent from 392.03 the previous year, while Scope 2 emissions decreased significantly to 7059.52 metric tonnes from 15,917.01. Total waste generated also declined to 937.18 metric tonnes. However, the company’s water usage increased, with total withdrawal reaching 74,801.50 kiloliters and consumption at 49,055.80 kiloliters. The report, which reflects a change in reporting boundaries due to a regulatory update, also showed a decrease in job creation in rural areas and an increase in metropolitan areas, alongside a shift in input material sourcing, with 92.21% now originating within India compared to 86.93% previously. Importantly, the company reported zero data breaches and no related impact.
