ICICI Lombard General Insurance Company Limited disclosed that it acquired shares of State Bank of India for Rs 1.72 billion on October 28, 2026, increasing its cumulative holding in the target entity to 0.02%, with State Bank of India having an asset base of Rs 8.83 trillion as of the same date. The acquisition, made in multiple tranches over a period of time, was conducted as part of the company's investment function and does not constitute a related party transaction, although ICICI Lombard’s promoter and promoter group entities may have other business relationships with State Bank of India at arm’s length.
