Dodla Dairy Limited clarified its position regarding a social media post by the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) dated October 17, 2026, concerning legal proceedings initiated against the company related to its Batlagundu plant. The company stated that a sample of its "Full Cream Milk" drawn on January 9, 2026, from its facility in Dindigul, Tamil Nadu, was classified as "substandard" by a primary laboratory due to milk fat content, although adulterants were reported as absent. Following an appeal, the National Food Laboratory in Navi Mumbai reported the sample as unsafe and substandard, citing a qualitative presence of detergent/caustic soda, and as of October 18, 2026, Dodla Dairy has not received a formal order of prosecution from FSSAI.
